Stars come out for the British Heart Foundation's charity auction

What are the ingredients for a perfect party? Start with models, fashionistas and celebrities such as Erin O'Connor, Laura Bailey, Rachel Stevens and David Gandy, arm-in-arm with his new girlfriend, The Saturday's Mollie King, looking stunning in a French Connection ivory lace shift; sdd some Limited Edition contemporary art by the likes of Damien Hirst, Peter Blake and Rob Ryan; mix in a few spoonfuls of Prada, Chanel, Mulberry, Gucci and Dior; toss in a thumping DJ set with Sunday Girl on the decks; and, finally, serve with a Marquis Vodka "Love Bomb" or a "Disaronno Kiss".

This was the recipe the British Heart Foundation cooked up for its 50th anniversary party, Tunnel of Love, at Victoria House in Bloomsbury, on Tuesday night. The theme was a funfair, with games, performance art and the celebrity auction hosted by Sotheby's to add to the carnival atmosphere. All proceeds from the Tunnel of Love are supporting the BHF's Mending Broken Hearts appeal. The BHF aims to spend £50million to fund groundbreaking research that could begin to, literally, mend broken hearts, in as little as 10 years.
