Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, Beyoncé Take Billboard Awards

It was just like 2010 all over again: Taylor Swift was the first winner of the night at Sunday's 2011 Billboard Music Awards, where she was named 200 Album Artist of the Year – for Speak Now.

More than two hours later, she collected another trophy, as Country Artist of the Year. "I'm just havin' the best time doin' this," she said.

Justin Bieber was a triple winner, as Digital Artist of the Year, Top New Artist and Fan Favorite – great excuses to hug and kiss his seat mate in the audience of Las Vegas's MGM Grand: Selena Gomez.

On stage, sporting a gold lamé tuxedo jacket, the "Baby" singer, 17, thanked his fans, as well as his mother and "my whole family, [talent manager] Scooter Braun, Usher – basically everyone who helped me get out of my hometown and live my dream."

As PEOPLE reported from the rehearsal, a ravishingly redheaded Rihanna opened the show with her song "S&M" before being joined a black-masked Britney Spears. Keep Reading +

Taylor Swift Laughs Off Her Lack of Privacy on ‘Ellen’

CELEBUZZ: Despite the constant assault of paparazzi flashes barraging her and the incessant press inquiries into her private life, Taylor Swift is all smiles when it comes to that aspect of her life.

The country-pop superstar made her umpteenth appearance on Ellen (set to air on Wednesday May 11), and in between belting out a tune for the world to hear, Swift opened up to Ellen about how her life is lived out in front of the world to see. When asked about being a 21-year-old whose every dating move is put under the microscope, Swift happily replied:

I think it’s just obnoxious if I complain about anything…I hear people talk about like, oh, the intrusions on my privacy. It’s like there are a million other jobs you could have had. And for me, I’ve just come to an acceptance of the fact, this is my life. If somebody wants to hide a relationship or has privacy issues then we don’t have the same viewpoint. For me, it’s just like live your life. If people happen to take picture then you know, you laugh about it in the car afterwards.

See, young Hollywood? Rather than fighting back against the machine, why not embrace it? It’ll make your life a lot less stressful!

HUFFINGTON POST: Taylor Swift has set her sights on a new target; instead of hitting out at the boys who break her heart, the country pop star is hitting out against music critics and bullies.

Swift's new song, "Mean," was inspired by some negative music reviews she received, and the new video expands the message to take on bullies and old-timey villains. Wearing a number of outfits -- that of a barnyard banjo player, a lady in distress and, finally, a Broadway star -- Swift sings and swings at those who are unfairly critical of her act, and narrates the inner thoughts of a number of bullied kids.

It's an effective video, pitting Swift alongside the underdogs and dreamers. And because this is Swift's inspirational world, you can pretty easily guess who comes out on top.
