Dominique Young Unique 'Follow The Leader' video

Within a year of releasing her first mixtape, DOMINATION, 19-year-old Tampa Bay rapper Dominique Young Unique has gone from rapping in the courts of her Robes Park Projects in Miami to playing a world-wide stage, performing alongside the likes of N.E.R.D, Big Boi, Die Antwoord and Gucci Mane.

Teaming up with producer David Alexander (Yo Majesty), she has a taste for rapid-fire raps and high-speed electro club beats. Youthful, raw and full of bite, this 19 year-old is crashing onto dancefloors with her militaristic mash-up of club and hip-hop. It's been a busy year for the up and coming rapper, with the release of the "Glamorous Touch" mixtape, a SXSW takeover and a whirlwind of performances all over the US including opening for Big Boi, Girl Talk and Sleigh Bells.

In June, Dominique will travel to Europe for a summer tour, performing first at Sónar, Spain's three-day music festival in its eighteenth year. She will also play at Glastonbury, which has Beyoncé and U2 headlining this year's festival. more info +

Christina Aguilera treated five friends to a half price dinner

The pop star ' whose divorce from Jordan Bratman, the father of her three-year-old son Max, was finalised in April ' told her pals to order "whatever they wanted" at Hollywood eatery Off Vine because she was celebrating the huge ratings of her new TV show 'The Voice'.

The group ' including fellow 'The Voice' judge Cee Lo Green ' were touched by the offer, but quickly dissolved into laughter when the waiter said: "Don't forget . tonight is half-priced Monday! Everything on the menu is 50 per cent off."

But the pop star laughed off the incident and jokingly claimed she now has to watch what she spends because of her split from Jordan.

According to National Enquirer magazine, she told the group: "Hey, I have to watch my pennies these days. Now let's eat."

In their divorce, Christina and Jordan - who announced their separation last October after almost five years of marriage - agreed to share custody of Max and divided their assets according to their prenuptial agreement.

The singer-and-actress is now in a relationship with set designer Matthew Rutler, who she first met when she was shooting her movie 'Burlesque'

Parade take a trip down the Thames in new music video

ollowing the overwhelming success of their debut single 'Louder', the PARADE ladies return to the charts with what is sure to become this year's feel-good anthem, 'Perfume', released on June 20th through Asylum Records.

With a dedicated army of fans, 'Louder' stormed the midweek charts upon release in March - making PARADE one of only two British artists to debut inside the Top 10 this year. The mega-melodic 'Perfume' - full of nagging horns and sing-along hooks looks set to do the same.

The 'Perfume' video has just been shot by hot, in-demand director Emil Nava who also directed PARADE's 'Louder' (over 1.5 million plays on YouTube so far). The video is set against the iconic London skyline on a boat full to the brim with electric PARADE energy. It showcases the girls' trademark street dance inspired routines and the eye-catching style that has helped them amass a devoted fan base of dedicated 'Paraders' and 'Paradettes'.

Already dubbed 'The UK's most stylish new band', the five pop starlets Lauren, Jessica, Sian, Emily and Bianca encompass everything that we love about great British girl bands - they're fun, talented and radiate girly energy with a unique outlook and fashion style. Combine this with a love of pop and explosive street-dance routines, setting the girls apart from anything else out there right now, PARADE are set to make 2011 their own.

Having already performed at the O2, Hammersmith Apollo and a host of other venues supporting the likes of Shakira, Alexandra Burke and Shayne Ward, the girls have been busy showing off their assured dance choreography and vocal harmonies winning fans the nation over. The girls are confirmed to play at The Isle of Wight Festival this Summer and support the Black Eyed Peas in July.

'Perfume', the long-awaited second single taken from PARADE's debut album, which will follow this Summer, was written and produced for the girls by hotly tipped new outfit The Fairground ('Louder', Jay Sean); the blisteringly powerful pop track was chosen by PARADE's devoted fans as the perfect follow-up track to the girls' debut chart smash, 'Louder'.(MUSIC-NEWS)

The Cult sign with Cooking Vinyl for 9th studio album

The Cult ink deal with UK's Cooking Vinyl for the worldwide release of their 9th studio album

A band who need no introduction, The Cult, are excited to announce the inking of a new recording contract with UK based label Cooking Vinyl.

The deal will see Cooking Vinyl handle the global release of the legendary rock band's 9th studio album, which is expected to be out in the Autumn.

Meeting overwhelming demand from The Cult faithful for a new studio album, the announcement makes good on a promise made in January after a gig at the UK's Hammersmith Apollo to follow up their tour with a new piece of work.

Commented The Cult's guitarist Billy Duffy, 'We are very much looking forward to returning to our UK roots in many ways working with Cooking Vinyl'.

The band have been busy writing and recording new demos at their Witch Mountain studio hideaway in the Hollywood Hills. They will be joined by guru and master producer Chris Goss, front man of Masters of Reality, producer on various Queens of the Stone Age albums as well as credits on countless other works.

Chris is already working with the band to sculpt a sonic assault and truly visceral work that promises to be the greatest work the Cult has ever released. The album will be recorded in the high desert and darkened rooms of Hollywood Recording Studios.

Cooking Vinyl beat the heated competition to the deal on the back of their long-established reputation as an artist's label, which made them the obvious choice for the band. Said The Cult's vocalist Ian Astbury, 'We look forward to a long and fruitful relationship with Cooking Vinyl'.

Comments Cooking Vinyl Director Rob Collins "I tried to sign Ian's first band, Southern Death Cult when I was a scout at Virgin in the early 80's. I think I paid for coach fares to London and they promptly signed to Beggars Banquet. It's great to finally be working with Ian, Billy and co."

The reaction is mirrored at Cooking Vinyl's UK distributor and sister company Essential Music. Said Head of Sales Lance Meade 'Martin [Goldschmidt, MD of Cooking Vinyl] knew that such was the love here in the Sales Department, he couldn't stand on ceremony. He had to sign The Cult. Now the atmosphere is Electric'.

The announcement bodes well for The Cult's forthcoming appearances at the UK's Download and Isle of White Festivals and a variety of summer dates around Europe. As of press time, a September tour is being planned across Canada to coincide with the yet to be titled album's first release, followed by a world-wide tour in support of the new music. 2011 is shaping up to be a landmark year for this band.
