The singer-and-actress teamed up with Tommy Hilfiger's brother Andy to launch her own clothing range, Sweetface, in 2001 but now admits it wasn't what she expected as she felt "trapped" by it.
She told the New York Times newspaper: "I just felt like I never got a fair chance to do it right. And on top of it, I felt like I was trapped in a situation I couldn't get out of, and my name was stamped on things that I didn't believe in."

Although the line closed, Jennifer didn't let it put her off designing another line - this time she has teamed up with Tommy and her husband Marc Anthony to create a fashion collection with Kohls.
They are all confident the line will be a success because Jennifer has lots of control over it.
Tommy said of the new range: "The difference this time around is that Jennifer is fully engaged with a company that is professionally staffed to really develop anything she wants, from towels to knee-high suede boots. Literally, her wish is their command."

The 41-year-old star ' who joins Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson on the judging panel of the talent search show ' reportedly told friends she spends hours in tears after having to send home hopefuls, and is going to require surgery once the series comes to an end.

She is quoted by National Enquirer magazine as saying: "I'm going to need an eye lift when this show is over. All I do is cry all the time."

The singer-and-actress recently admitted the numerous years she has spent in the music business allow her to understand the predicament of the performers in the auditions.

Jennifer explained: "I love it. Honestly, with all the experience I've had over the years, it's like, what do you do with it? Steven, he's been on the scene for 40 years touring. You have so much information, you have so much experience and so many little titbits you don't even realise you have in your mind.
