Easiest solution would be for Google to port their current maps and navigation software to iOS. Not that Apple would allow it, and not that Google would want to do it :). I love competition...

Hi, right now I'm working on a project in logic and in is there is a piano part that I recorded via midi with various chord progressions. I will be working with this live and I want to print the piano part as a score to refer to the chords, so to identify them quickly I want to have the simple popular chord name (Ab m) above the chords on the sheet music. I can enter the chords manually using the text editor in the part box, but that would be long and tedious...since logic already identifies chords with incoming midi, is there any way for it to automatically name them?

Bertrand Serlet, senior vice president of Mac Software Engineering, will be departing the company in order to "focus less on products and more on science"
He's moving to Aperture Science. Look at him still designing when there's Science to do.

It's up from here, and it's still the old interface.
Huh.
Still down for me.
Anyone else having this problem, or is just me?

Here are a few more things to fix:
Drag and drop iDisk including right click for renames, etc.
The ability to update the calendar on the web.
An easy way to view published calendars.
A photocast that actually works with other platforms and browsers.
Better integration of iWeb and .Mac (get rid of those old web templates).
I am sure there are more, but these things irk me right now...

After reading his previous predictions, Shaw Wu is about as good a fortune teller as Carnac.
Yeah, what an idiot. Apparently this guy gets paid bug bucks to read about stuff on MacRumors and Slashdot all day and assemble them into predictions.
Wait a second...

Gay and bisexual men have a HIV infection rate 44 times higher than heterosexual men according to the CDC.
http://healthland.time.com/2010/09/26/study-20-of-homosexual-men-are-hiv-positive-but-only-half-know-it/
Arrgh! You cited the tamest statistic from the CDC article. Here are the others: 20% of gay men are HIV positive and 44% don't know it.
THAT is why the question is asked. As a future possible recipient of blood, I'm glad they ask it.

"It's obviously irritating to Apple that they're getting used this way," says PJC's Gene Munster. ...
Actually, it probably helps Apple in the big picture. Eighty people get a fantastic deal - and they know it's a special deal, so the real value of the iPad is reinforced. And a whole lot of people, who missed out on the deal, have reinforced the perception that the iPad is not a commodity, and that Apple's msrp is 'true' price. And further, those people who missed out have now 'decided' that they want an iPad, and a fair number will go and buy one at full price. Apple wins in this case. Sold 80 units to TJ's at full price, and TJ's pays to fuel iPad frenzy in their customers. Laughing to the bank.

You don't believe me? He sent that to my eBay and now the auction is cancelled like he just said he was going to do. Sucks but I dont think that other guy is going to get his money back. Not like we are going to find out either.
Oh I believe you now, but you didn't say he messaged you through ebay beforeI thought you meant he pm'd you here.

My service provider offers CPanel Horde for webmail. I didn't used to mind that but now Horde has been changed in lots of crappy ways and I don't like it. Plus it doesn't work at all on Safari.
Is there a way for me to get my webmail through another service?

Also, how the hell are you supposed to play the Swordquest games without the manual and comic books?
It is nice to see Waterworld though as the contest for it never happened and the cartridge was printed in very limited supplies.
Looks like the manuals come with. check out the video embedded in the story.

A great keynote introducing a revolutionary new design and interface which for me was far more exciting than the iPhone itself. I can already see the next iPod generation taking a similair design and interface but without the phone and price tag. So kudos to Apple... they did it again.

I can see at events at least until 2006 (when I started using ical). Check the preferences and make sure you do not have a delete events after XX time frame (see advanced tab under ical preferences).

All fine and dandy that they're putting in new features...
but make it stable and make it compatible with most of the websites out there. Safari is so behind some other browsers...
agree.
it crashes regularly, even on macrumors or on the apple site!
just make it work!

This is great news if it means the end of mobile me. Die Mobile Me - DIE DIE DIE. Anything will be better than the self centered sounding @me.com. I simply will not use the email address in a professional context. Don't mind @Mac.com, and still use it, but @me.com sends the wrong message.
The only "message" it sends is, "Hey, i purchased MobileMe."

My guess is that you will be covered and get the Unlimited Mobile to Any Mobile (just as the person above is on his family plan which is no longer offered).
Just wondering, are you paying more or less than the 900 Nation Plan ($59.99) for the 1350 plan which you are grandfathered in to?
Thanks!
I just looked. I am paying $20 more than the 900 plan & $10 more than the unlimited plan. I believe I am going to lower it to the 900 & lose the 11,200 rollover minutes that I will never use. At one time I was using the 1350 a month, but I no longer have a need for it.
