Miss World 2011, the 61st edition of the Miss World pageant is scheduled to take place on November 6, 2011 in London. Alexandria Mills of the United States will crown her successor at the end of the event.

Sara Elkhouly of Egypt Crowned Miss Mediterranean 2011, 1st runner-up is Miss Mecedonia and 2nd runner-up is Miss Lebanon. Sara Elkhouly represented Egypt in Miss World 2010.

The Miss Mediterranean 2011 pageant took place last night in Nicosia, Cyprus. Fifteen countries participated in the pageant. The Top 8 finalistas were: Macedonia, Russia, Bulgaria, Lebanon, Albania, Cyprus, Slovenia, and Egypt.

Pushpika Sandamali De Silva crowned Miss World Sri Lanka 2011

Miss World Sri Lanka 2011:

Pushpika Sandamali De Silva was crowned as the new Derana Veet Miss Sri Lanka for Miss World 2011 at the Galadari Hotel in Colombo on May 19, 2011. She is 21 year old and will represent Sri Lanka in Miss World 2011 in London, England on November 8. Shimalka Bodaragama and Chamupa Godage were the runner-ups.
The winner is an actress and model from Colombo.
